Music from the 16th Century to the present day with works by Muldarra, Dowland, Bach, Tarrega, Piazolla, Dyens, Yocoh and Gary's own compositions 'Sugar Loaf Mountain' and scenes from 'The Wild West'.

The Bochmann String Quartet

Originally founded in 1977, the Bochmann String Quartet has performed on extensive international tours for more than a decade. They have made over 50 BBC broadcasts and numerous recordings, currently undertake regular European tours and perform in London's concert halls and throughout the UK. They have also been joined by many leading international chamber musicians including Robert Cohen, Raphael Wallfisch, Yonty Solomon and Jeremy Menuhin.

A Connections Concert
This series is designed to demonstrate the connection between classical music and other genres. Singer Wendy Nieper and pianist Stephen Watkins will perform music 'with connections', and talk about the essential connection between singer and accompanist by demonstrating some 'dos and don'ts' of performing together.
Interesting to aspiring singers and accompanists alike.

A Two Course Treat
An afternoon of words and music
Wendy Nieper (soprano) and Julien Cheriyan (piano)
To begin, savour the life of Chopin through his rarely heard but exquisite songs and some of his personal letters. You will also hear music by composers who influenced him or were influenced by him.
To follow, relax as you listen to Gershwin's 'classical' Jazz, the jazz of Bernstein's New York and Sondheim's musical wit.
